Silhouette Weathervanes

SkyArt’s silhouette weathervanes offer a clean, distinctive approach to traditional weathervane design. Using the strength of a recognizable outline rather than fully modeled dimensional detail, these pieces create bold profiles that are especially effective when viewed against the sky.

Each silhouette weathervane is individually handcrafted in our Connecticut studio from copper and made with the same attention to proportion, balance, and craftsmanship as our more dimensional work. Designs range from animals and birds to nautical, sporting, and custom subjects, with each piece carefully developed so the character of the subject remains clear even at a distance.

Our silhouette weathervanes are available in natural copper as well as a variety of hand-applied finishes, including faux bronze, verdigris, and 23-karat gold leaf. Over time, unfinished copper will naturally develop its own beautiful patina.

Custom silhouette designs are also welcome. A favorite animal, personal symbol, distinctive profile, or other meaningful subject can often be translated into a unique weathervane created specifically for your home, barn, cupola, or other setting.
