Child Reading Weathervane
Our Child Reading Weathervane captures a quiet moment familiar to anyone who has ever become completely absorbed in a good book. Seated with her legs stretched forward and an open book in her hands, the young reader creates a charming silhouette that is immediately recognizable against the sky.
The simple profile gives the design much of its character. From the child’s ponytail and bowed head to the shape of the open book and relaxed position of her feet, the details tell the story without overwhelming the clean outline of the figure. The result is a weathervane with a gentle sense of personality and movement.
Part of our Silhouette Weathervanes collection, the Child Reading Weathervane is handcrafted using durable metals and carefully fabricated for strength, balance, and longevity. Each figure is designed not simply as a decorative silhouette, but as a fully functioning weathervane intended to respond naturally to changes in wind direction.
The subject makes this design especially appropriate for a home, school, library, bookstore, or anyone with a lifelong love of reading. SkyArt can also create a custom copper weathervane inspired by a personal idea, photograph, drawing, or other meaningful subject.
The Child Reading Weathervane is available with optional faux bronze, verdigris, or genuine 23-karat gold leaf finishes at an additional cost.
