Westie Weathervane
The Westie has earned a devoted following for its bright personality, fearless spirit, and unmistakable white coat. We hand sculpt each Westie Weathervane in copper to capture the breed’s lively expression, sturdy build, and confident stance. Every commission begins with your ideas, allowing us to create a sculpture that reflects the unique character and proportions of your dog.
For more than four decades, SkyArt Studio & Gallery has created custom copper weathervanes for customers throughout the United States. We begin each project by learning about your vision and studying your photographs. From there, we sculpt every figure by hand with careful attention to balance, movement, and authentic breed detail. The finished sculpture reflects both your inspiration and our commitment to fine craftsmanship.
Whether your Westie is a loyal family companion, a successful show dog, or simply a breed you have admired for years, we approach every commission with the same level of care. We create each sculpture to become a lasting architectural feature for a home, barn, workshop, garden structure, or cupola. At the same time, it serves as a tribute to one of the world’s most spirited and affectionate terrier breeds.
Handcrafted Copper Weathervanes
We offer our Westie Weathervanes in 24-inch, 30-inch, and larger custom sizes. Every standard assembly includes two spun copper balls, solid brass directional markers, brass retaining rings, and a stainless-steel mast. Together, these components provide strength, durability, and dependable performance for years of outdoor use.
You may also choose faux bronze, verdigris, or genuine 23-karat gold leaf finishes for an additional charge. These optional finishes allow you to coordinate your weathervane with many architectural styles and settings.
Because we sculpt every commission by hand, each finished weathervane displays its own subtle character. No two sculptures are ever exactly alike.
Functional Sculpture for Home or Barn
A custom Westie Weathervane is more than a wind indicator. It celebrates the courage, intelligence, and cheerful personality that have made this remarkable little terrier a favorite around the world. Whether displayed on a residence, stable, workshop, garden structure, or cupola, it creates a distinctive architectural accent while honoring a beloved companion.
