Village Carousel Weathervane
A Handcrafted Tribute to the Magic of the Carousel
The Village Carousel Weathervane celebrates the beauty, movement, and childhood wonder of the traditional carousel horse. With its graceful posture and richly sculpted form, the design recalls the hand-carved carousel figures that have delighted generations.
Carousel horses have long represented joy, imagination, celebration, and nostalgia. Their flowing lines and spirited movement create a timeless image that appeals to collectors, equestrians, and anyone who remembers the enchantment of a carousel ride.
Inspired by the historic carousel at Crossroads Village, this handcrafted copper weathervane transforms a beloved American icon into an impressive work of architectural art.
Designed to Create a Memorable Landmark
The Village Carousel Weathervane has a strong silhouette and an unmistakable sense of movement. Its sculptural presence makes it especially well suited for a large home, barn, stable, pavilion, commercial building, or traditional cupola.
The carousel horse brings warmth and personality to the surrounding architecture while creating a distinctive focal point that can be enjoyed from a distance.
Handcrafted by SkyArt Studio
We individually hand sculpt every Village Carousel Weathervane in copper. Using traditional swell-bodied construction, we carefully form the horse’s flowing contours, expressive posture, and ornamental details.
The result is a substantial three-dimensional sculpture with depth, movement, and character. Each piece is constructed from durable materials and designed for long life with minimal maintenance.
Standard assemblies include two spun copper balls, solid brass directional markers, brass retaining rings, and a stainless-steel mast. Standard finishes include faux bronze or verdigris patina. Genuine 23-karat gold leaf is available for an additional charge.
The gold-leaf finish beautifully emphasizes the sculptural details and gives the horse the luminous appearance of a traditional carousel figure.
Created for Crossroads Village
The original Village Carousel Horse Weathervane was fabricated by SkyArt Studio & Gallery for Crossroads Village. The commission allowed us to interpret the charm and decorative spirit of a carousel horse as a fully dimensional copper sculpture designed to be displayed against the sky.
This distinctive project demonstrates how a custom weathervane can reflect the history, identity, and character of a special location.
Choosing the Right Size
Proper scale is essential when selecting a weathervane with this level of detail. A generously sized figure allows the carousel horse’s shape, movement, and decorative features to remain visible from the ground.
Visit our Weathervane Sizing Guide for assistance choosing the appropriate size for your home, barn, cupola, or commercial building.
