Termite Weathervane
The Termite Weathervane celebrates one of nature’s most industrious, highly organized, and surprisingly complex creatures. Although termites are usually regarded as destructive pests, they also play an important role in the natural world and have come to symbolize persistence, cooperation, determination, and the power of working together.
Inspired by the distinctive shape and character of this unusual insect, our handcrafted copper Termite Weathervane creates a bold and humorous architectural statement. Its prominent head, segmented body, curved legs, and long antennae give the sculpture an unmistakable personality that is certain to attract attention and start conversations.
Handcrafted Copper Weathervane
We individually hand sculpt every Termite Weathervane in copper. We carefully shape its rounded, swell-bodied form, defined body sections, articulated legs, and sweeping antennae to capture the insect’s recognizable appearance while giving the sculpture depth, character, and movement.
The three-dimensional copper body gives this unusual design substantial presence when viewed from the ground. Carefully formed details help distinguish the termite while preserving a strong overall profile suitable for display against the open sky.
Display the Termite Weathervane on a home, business, pest-control company, cupola, gazebo, garden building, workshop, or any property that calls for something wonderfully unexpected.
Standard assemblies include two spun copper balls, solid brass directional markers, brass retaining rings, and a stainless-steel mast. Standard finishes include faux bronze or verdigris patina. Genuine 23-karat gold leaf is available for an additional charge.
Choosing the Right Size
The proper size depends on the height, roofline, viewing distance, and architectural scale of the building. Visit our Weathervane Sizing Guide for helpful information when selecting the right proportions for your setting.
