Swordfish Weathervane

The Swordfish Weathervane captures the speed, strength, and unmistakable profile of one of the ocean’s most impressive game fish. With its long pointed bill, streamlined body, tall dorsal fin, and powerful crescent-shaped tail, the swordfish creates a dramatic sculptural silhouette designed to command attention against the open sky.

Handcrafted in dimensional copper, this swell-bodied design has substantial depth and movement. Carefully shaped fins, body contours, facial details, and the swordfish’s distinctive bill give the sculpture a lively sense of motion while preserving a strong, clearly readable profile.

A Powerful Hunter of the Open Ocean

Swordfish are large, highly migratory fish found throughout tropical and temperate oceans around the world. Their most recognizable feature is the long, flattened bill that gives the species its name. Their stout bodies, large eyes, tall dorsal fins, and broad crescent-shaped tails make them exceptionally striking subjects for sculptural artwork.

The Swordfish Weathervane is a bold choice for coastal homes, beach houses, marinas, yacht clubs, boathouses, seafood restaurants, fishing lodges, and anyone with an appreciation for offshore sport fishing and marine life.

Handcrafted Copper Construction

Each Swordfish Weathervane is individually handcrafted using traditional metalworking techniques. The dimensional copper body, elongated bill, sculpted fins, and sweeping tail are carefully shaped and assembled to create a substantial architectural sculpture with strength, balance, and lasting visual appeal.

The weathervane is supplied with SkyArt Studio’s standard assembly, including two copper balls, brass retainer rings, a brass directional set, and a stainless-steel mast.

Available finishes include natural copper, faux bronze, verdigris patina, and genuine 23-karat gold leaf.

Choosing the Right Size

Proper scale is important when selecting a weathervane. Roof height, viewing distance, and the overall proportions of the structure should all be considered before choosing a size.
