Striped Bass Weathervane
The Striped Bass Weathervane captures the powerful form and distinctive markings of one of the Atlantic coast’s most recognizable game fish. With its streamlined body, strong tail, and characteristic horizontal stripes, the striped bass translates beautifully into a sculptural weathervane designed to be viewed against the open sky.
Handcrafted in copper, this swell-bodied weathervane has depth and dimension that give the fish a lively sense of movement. Carefully formed fins, body contours, and stripe details bring character to the design while maintaining a strong, readable silhouette when viewed from the ground.
A Classic Coastal Fish
Striped bass have long been associated with the coastal waters of New England and the Atlantic seaboard. Known to generations of anglers simply as “stripers,” their powerful form and unmistakable markings have made them an enduring symbol of coastal life.
For fishing enthusiasts, seaside homes, coastal properties, or anyone with an appreciation for marine life, the Striped Bass Weathervane makes a distinctive architectural statement.

Handcrafted Copper Construction
Each Striped Bass Weathervane is individually handcrafted using traditional metalworking techniques. The dimensional copper body is carefully shaped and assembled to create a sculptural figure with strength, balance, and visual presence.
The weathervane is supplied with SkyArt Studio’s standard assembly, including two copper balls, brass retainer rings, a brass directional set, and a stainless-steel mast.
Available finishes include natural copper, faux bronze, verdigris patina, and 23-karat gold leaf.
Choosing the Right Size
Proper scale is important when selecting a weathervane. Roof height, viewing distance, and the overall proportions of the structure should all be considered.
