Sandy Hook School Weathervanes

The Sandy Hook School Weathervanes are custom copper creations for the new Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.  Each weathervane motif is carefully hand-cut or cut via water-jet machining.  Our focus on specific details and sculptural qualities enhances our weathervane productions.  Welding, Brazing sticks, or silver alloy solder are the methods and joining metals used in our fabrications.  As a result of utilizing high-quality metals, our fabrication process ensures longevity, not maintenance.
Each Sandy Hook Weathervane motif comes with a standard assembly.  The components of the assembly include 2 copper balls, brass retainer rings, a directional brass set, and a stainless steel mast.  The Bear and Eagle are available in a dark bronze patina. The Bear motif also includes gold leaf apple accents.  The Ducklings are in 23 Kt gold leaf.  The Big Foot has a verdigris patina finish.
Weathervanes are known as instruments that point in wind direction but they also change visual space, reflect functional art, and can inspire emotion in a physical environment.

Support is available to outside staff by providing diagrams, schematics, or calls.
We are eager to assist you with your questions on lead time, scale, and ordering a custom weathervane.
