Rollie Free Weathervane

The Rollie Free Weathervane is a one-of-a-kind sculptural weathervane created by SkyArt Studio & Gallery as a tribute to legendary motorcycle racer Rollie Free.

Rollie Free became part of American motorcycling history on September 13, 1948, when he rode a Vincent HRD at the Bonneville Salt Flats and set an American motorcycle land-speed record of 150.313 mph. His remarkable prone riding position and famous bathing-suit run produced one of the most enduring images in motorcycle history. Rollie Free became part of American motorcycling history when he rode a Vincent HRD Black Lightning across the Bonneville Salt Flats while wearing little more than a bathing suit, helmet, and shoes. His remarkable record-setting run produced one of the most recognizable images in motorcycle history.

This Rollie Free Weathervane was individually designed and fabricated by SkyArt Studio & Gallery and remains a unique example of our custom work.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece and is not available for purchase or reproduction.
