Nantucket Island Weathervane
Our Nantucket Island Weathervane was created as a distinctive silhouette celebrating one of New England’s most recognizable islands. Nantucket’s characteristic coastline creates a strong horizontal profile, making the island’s familiar shape particularly well suited to a silhouette weathervane.
This is a double-sided silhouette weathervane, giving the design a finished appearance when viewed from either side. Translating the outline of an island into a functioning weathervane involves more than simply reproducing a map. The proportions and balance of the figure must work around the central mast while retaining the geographic character that makes Nantucket immediately recognizable.
The Nantucket Island design is part of our Silhouette Weathervanes collection. The figure is waterjet cut and fabricated in durable metals, with careful attention given to proportion, balance, and construction. The completed piece is supplied with SkyArt’s standard assembly, including the components necessary for a traditional working weathervane.
