Magic Rabbit Weathervane
The Magic Rabbit Weathervane captures the moment when a magician’s most famous trick comes wonderfully to life. Perched atop an oversized top hat, the rabbit reaches forward with wand in hand, creating a lively sculptural composition filled with movement, character, and a touch of theatrical surprise.
From the rabbit and magician’s hat to the bow tie, star, and lightning-bolt details, every element contributes to the personality of the design. Handcrafted in metal rather than rendered as a simple silhouette, the piece has dimension and presence from multiple viewpoints.
A Classic Symbol of Magic
Few images are more immediately associated with stage magic than a rabbit appearing from a magician’s top hat. Over generations, the image has become part of the visual language of illusion and theatrical entertainment.
SkyArt Studio’s interpretation takes that familiar idea beyond the stage and transforms it into architectural sculpture. The rabbit seems caught in the middle of the performance, while the decorative elements incorporated into the weathervane extend the theme throughout the entire composition.
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History preserves an extensive collection documenting the history of American entertainment and magic.
