Lazy Frog Weathervane
The Lazy Frog Weathervane captures a wonderfully relaxed character enjoying life at an unhurried pace. Reclining comfortably with his legs stretched forward, this whimsical frog has an expressive pose and personality that transform him into much more than a traditional rooftop ornament.
Handcrafted in dimensional copper, the swell-bodied figure has substantial depth and sculptural presence. Carefully shaped legs, rounded contours, and playful facial details give the frog a strong silhouette and an unmistakable sense of humor.
A One-of-a-Kind Custom Design
The Lazy Frog Weathervane was created as a private custom commission and is shown here as part of the SkyArt Studio portfolio. This particular design is not for sale.
Similar frog-inspired weathervanes and other imaginative custom designs may be commissioned. We welcome the opportunity to discuss creating an original piece inspired by a customer’s interests, ideas, property, or personal story.
Frogs have long been associated with transformation, renewal, adaptability, and good fortune. Their distinctive shapes and expressive postures also make them especially appealing subjects for sculptural art.

Handcrafted Copper Sculpture
The Lazy Frog was individually handcrafted using traditional copper-forming and metalworking techniques. Its dimensional body was carefully shaped and assembled to create a durable sculpture with character, balance, and visual depth.
Our custom weathervanes are normally supplied with SkyArt Studio’s standard assembly, including two copper balls, brass retainer rings, a brass directional set, and a stainless-steel mast.
Finish options for similar commissioned designs may include natural copper, faux bronze, verdigris patina, and genuine 23-karat gold leaf.

Commissioning a Similar Design
Although the original Lazy Frog Weathervane is not available for purchase, SkyArt Studio can create a related custom frog design or develop an entirely new sculptural weathervane.
The final size, pose, details, finish, and mounting requirements can be tailored to the architecture and viewing distance of the intended location.
