Jumping Fox Weathervane
The Jumping Fox Weathervane captures the quickness, agility, and unmistakable character of one of the countryside’s most familiar wild animals. Known for intelligence, adaptability, and remarkable hunting ability, the fox has long symbolized cleverness, awareness, independence, and resourcefulness.
Inspired by the dramatic movement of a fox springing forward, this handcrafted copper weathervane freezes a fleeting moment in motion. The extended body, outstretched legs, alert head, and flowing tail create a lively silhouette that feels as though the fox is leaping directly across the roofline.
Handcrafted Copper Weathervane
We individually hand sculpt every Jumping Fox Weathervane in copper. Careful attention is given to the fox’s head, ears, body, legs, paws, and distinctive bushy tail so the finished sculpture captures both the anatomy and animated movement of the animal.
The jumping pose presents a particular sculptural challenge because the entire figure must feel balanced while appearing suspended in motion. We shape the body and legs to emphasize the fox’s athletic movement while maintaining a strong silhouette that remains recognizable from a distance.
Display and Installation
The Jumping Fox Weathervane makes a distinctive architectural accent for a home, barn, cupola, gazebo, country property, or woodland retreat. Its long horizontal form and dramatic movement allow the figure to stand out beautifully against the sky.
Choosing the proper size helps ensure that the sculpture remains proportional to the building and clearly visible from the ground. Visit our weathervane sizing guide for help selecting the right size.
